This video was taken on Saturday May 21, 2011 on the afternoon of the grand opening of the new pier. This is a great asset to Nags Head. Walking out on this pier is well worth the price of adminssion and fishing on this pier should be fantastic as the fish, crabs and barnacles find it.
Outer Banks surfers should also include this as a “must check” place on their way south. The pier’s pilings have already begun to develop great surfing sandbars.
