Knowing where to eat can be the difference between a good Outer Banks day and a great day here. The Outer Banks has too many good, locally owned restaurants to mention here. Here are five of our favorites. Experience local dining for the full Outer Banks experience.
The Blue Point
Located in the heart of Duck, the Blue Point Restaurant offers some of the finest cuisine on the Outer Banks. They serve lunch and dinner year round and is a favorite of residents and visitors to this area. Expect a great meal with fantastic service. Watch the sunset over the sound while enjoying local seafood prepared to perfection.
Stack’ em High Pancake House
There is nothing like watching the sun come up over the ocean and then going out for breakfast on the Outer Banks. Stack’em has their own special recipe for pancake mix that is famous for miles around. Their repuation with the locals speaks for itself. You’ll see many of the same folks eating there on a regular basis.
Pizzazz Pizza
When you are arriving in town and need a quick dinner or just have a desire for pizza, Pizzazz Pizza is likely to have a location near you. Order by phone and they’ll deliver or you can pick up your pizza at one of their locations when you drive by.
The Rundown Cafe
The Rundown Cafe is a favorite of Kitty Hawk and Southern Shores locals for lunch. Carribbean cuisine is their specialty. Enjoy a delicious burger with jerk seasoning or their coco-loco chicken. Monday nights are fried chicken nights. It does not get any better than fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans!
