Soar along the coast of the Outer Banks in a vintage World War II Waco UPF-7 biplane used in training for pilots prior to their deployment. Following it’s decommissioning by the Air Force, the Waco moved throughout the country from one collector to another, till she landed on the Outer Banks in 2010. Ever since Barrier Island Aviation has used the biplane for their scenic tours, two passengers in the “open air” cockpit makes for a once in a life time opportunity.
There are an assortment of biplane tour options to accomodate your price range, schedule, and personal sight seeing interests. Travel up the beach to get an inverted look at the Wright Brother’s Memorial, stay right around historic Roanoke Island, or even glide down the beach to spot Oregon Inlet no matter what option you go with you will have an Outer Banks memory unique perspective.
