Sandy Run Park Kitty Hawk
The Outer Banks prides itself on being a family oriented place to live, work and visit. There’s a lot that goes into that. For families living here, Dare County schools rate very well among the state’s systems. There’s also the beach. It’s the reason people have been visiting this sandbar by the sea for almost 200 years. But there is much more to the Outer Banks than the beaches. There are many public recreational spots for all kinds of family activities. Sandy Run Park in Kitty Hawk … Continue reading...

The allaboutbirds.org web site states that the Outer Banks is … Continue reading...
Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum
Driving to the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum can be done in less than two hours from the Northern Beaches. Located just beyond the Ocracoke ferry docks, it’s a perfect distance for a day trip. This is a beautiful, at times, spectacular ride that goes to the southern tip of Hatteras Island. It is a perfect spot for an Outer Banks day trip. See a little about this museum and good places to stop in this post. The Island Divided into the Northern Beaches and Hatteras Island, Oregon Inlet … Continue reading...
Social Distancing on the Outer Banks
As of this writing social distancing on the Outer Banks is in its second week. The bridges to the beach have been closed to visitors for a week and to out-of-town property owners since March 20. If you are not here and need someone to check on your property then please don’t hesitate to call on us. We’re not showing a bunch of houses here right now and it would be our pleasure to help you any way we can. If you have to social distance somewhere then the Outer Banks is not a bad place to … Continue reading...
